As part of the new Quakers Friar Cabot circus development buildfifty5 are acting as construction manager and principle contractor on behalf of MCD Developments in the construction and fit out of 195 luxury apartments to a construction value of circa 11 million pounds.

The Apartments are located within 6 blocks ranging from single storey studio flats up to a 14 storey tower block. The whole of the residential development is situated at a podium slab level above 2 storeys of live retail space including Harvey Nicholls; this makes logistics key to the contract.

Working with the commercial team buildfifty5’s supply chain provided the best value, experience and safety minded trade contractors for this demanding project, generating significant value engineering to the project while maintaining the quality levels required by the developer. An early quality benchmark has been established and the apartments are now in full construction and marketing phase.

Buildfifty5’s construction management approach and depth of experience within its team allows the development to be completely flexible in accommodating the needs of the customer and the end purchasers.

The scheme was completed in August 2010.
