Brotherton House, situated close to Park Square Leeds, has been successfully converted into Student accommodation.  Originally designed in the Art Deco style of the 1930’s Brotherton House was built in 1956 and occupied by chemicals and dyestuffs firm Brotherton and Co.  The building was subsequently occupied by West Yorkshire Police as the Leeds Police Headquarters from 1962.

During Phase One, buildfifty5 were employed in a Construction Management role, and following a demanding 24-week conversion refurbishment programme of the Old Police Station, Block A was successfully delivered and is fully occupied.

Phase Two saw the completion of Block B, a 15-storey new build linked at ground floor, with some 350 student beds delivered in total. With 9,700 sq ft of dedicated education space on the lower three floors of the new block, including a lecture theatre and teaching rooms, accommodation, offers a mixture of en-suites and studios, with gym, spa, cinema, games room, yoga room and lounge areas.

Brotherton House was delivered for the September 2022 academic intake.
